Seriously Funny!
This is funny to me, but could be annoying. About a minute long, and you need the sound on, but not high.

The Way Children See Things!
HONESTY: My son Zachary, 4, came screaming out of the bathroom to tell me he'd dropped his toothbrush in the toilet. So I fished it out and threw it in the garbage. Zachary stood there thinking for a moment, then ran to my bathroom and came out with my toothbrush. He held it up and said with a charming little smile, "We better throw this one out too then, 'cause it fell in the toilet a few days ago.
NUDITY: I was driving with my three young children one warm summer evening when a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark-naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my 5-year-old shout from the back seat, "Mom! That lady isn't wearing a seat belt!"
KETCHUP: A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup to come out of the jar. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old daughter to answer the phone. "It's the minister, Mommy," the child said to her mother. Then she added, "Mommy can't come to the phone to talk to you right now. She's hitting the bottle."
MORE NUDITY: A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women's locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover. The little boy watched in amazement and then asked, "What's the matter haven't you ever seen a little boy before?"
ELDERLY: While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter on my afternoon rounds. The various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs, unfailingly intrigued her. One day I found her staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself for the inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned and whispered, "The toothfairy will never believe this!"
DRESS-UP: A little girl was watching her parents dress for a party. When she saw her dad donning his tuxedo, she warned, "Daddy, you shouldn't wear that suit.""And why not, darling?" "You know that it always gives you a headache the next morning."
SCHOOL: A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I'm just wasting my time," she said to her mother. "I can't read, I can't write and they won't let me talk!"
BIBLE: A little boy opened the big family bible. He was fascinated as he fingered through the old pages. Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible. He picked up the object and looked at it. What he saw was an old leaf that had been pressed in between the pages. "Mama, look what I found", the boy called out." What have you got there, dear?" With astonishment in the young boy's voice, he answered, "I think it's Adam's underwear.”

The Famous Pizza!
Here we are at the actual pizza place. Can you see the pizza? The best!
Most of us are in the hindi group, except for the girls from Mississippi (Katie and Lindsay) and Jeneva.
Starting in left bottom corner, going clockwise: Cindi, Jonelle, Seconda, Amanda, Katie, Jeneva, Nina, ME, Lindsay. Oh, and Sunil is working the camera.
To clear up some confusion with the commenting, here is some info. Click on "comment" and a second window should pop up--if you have a pop-up blocker you may need to disable it beforehand. Inside the new window you should find a large area to leave your comment. You should also see a heading with the words "Choose an Identity" in it, underneath that there should be three circles next to words such as "Google/Blogger" and "Other". Make sure the green dot is in the circle next to "Other" and you should be able to type in your name. Then just Click on the "publish your comment" button and you're done.

We went downtown for some famous Giordano's Stuffed Pizza, a Chicago must-have. It's the best pizza in the world, and where else would it be from? CHICAGO!

Sushi!
Clockwise from bottom left: Paula, Fran, Peggy, David and um... oh yeah, it's Zane!
So I finally had my first taste of real sushi rolls. I love it! I even tried some with raw fish, which is surprisingly tasty. Someone told me that even if I wasn't crazy about it at first, I will come around. And it's true! A few days after my first sushi lunch I was REALLY craving it and had to go get some more. I'm hooked.

LaLa Aunty
That's me! Only to Jasmin that is (seen below). Why? Let me tell you.
Her mom is Indian, and in that culture you show respect for your elders by calling them Uncle and Aunty, so Jasmin is being taught to call the brothers and sisters Uncle and Aunty. Since they are regularly out in service with us during the week, I get the chance to be in the same car group as Jasmin almost every week. Those of you who know me well-or even slightly-know I like to sing, and so I'd sing "From house to house" with Jasmin sometimes between calls. Being as she was only 13 or 14 months at the time, she could not say the words, so I just sang, "La-la, la-la" for the entire song. Something about that just stuck with little Jasmin, and pretty soon she'd say, "la-la" whenever she saw me. Her parents caught on and voila! LaLa Aunty came to be.

FRIENDS!
When Zane and I moved to the Chicago area after we got married, it seemed like an opportunity for adventure. Neither of us had ever lived outside of the great NW, spending the majority of our lives in Washington or Idaho. But hey, we're young! So we made the haul.
One thing I really miss about "home" is all my friends, related to me or not. I came across some pictures of them at the going away get-together thrown before we left.
left to right: Emily and Alonna. Alonna is a shirt-tail cousin, (don't ask us to explain the relation, it's complicated) but I'll claim her as part of my family ANY day, because she's just great. The going away party was in Em's house, as were many other defining moments of my young life. (No relation, just a good friend, great friend, TREMENDOUS friend!)
left to right: Patience and Elisha. One of my best friends, Patience is partly responsible for Zane and I ending up together. She'd been friends with him for years and even though she didn't introduce us, she did give me an excuse to visit her hall...which Zane conveniently attended as well. ;) I met Elisha just months before her wedding, and am just so happy for her. Her one year wedding anniversary is May 7th! Also a sweetheart.
Kylie Raye. Younger sister of Patience, and my unofficial adopted sister. Hillarious, gorgeous, genius.

Mmmmm... FOOD!
So today I had food on my mind...and shirt. (You know how that goes) I used to work at a sandwich shop and tried just about every combo of sandwich ingredients available. It was there that I discovered my love of the reuben (corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese usually on grilled rye with thousand island and/or horseradish sauce) and the delicate flavor an avocado can add to simple things like turkey or egg salad. I could go on forever about food, mmm...food, but instead, I'll let you. What's your favorite combination of sandwich ingredients? What's the weirdest sandwich you've ever eaten?-you must have personally eaten it. (Burgers do not count) Ok?
So here are mine:
Favorites: #1. Roast beef, lettuce, sprouts, cucumber, provalone cheese, on thick, dark wholewheat slices with mayo.
#2. Sliced Turkey breast, lettuce, avocado, bacon, on toasted sourdough with mayo and mustard.
Weirdest combo ever: Ham, avocado, cream cheese, lettuce, sprouts, pickles, on dill bread with mayo and mustard. It was full of good things, but all together it was the oddest thing ever.
Ha! Top that!
P.S.- I have no idea what the sandwich in the picture is called, but would YOU eat it?

STUCK ON YOU
This is another one of our engagement pictures. We are standing in front of the new fountain in Riverfront Park, Spokane. That also happens to be just feet away from where Zane proposed. Sorry that you can't see the fountain better. It's bronze and BIG and has lots of lights shining on the water. At night it's quite the sight to see. If we'd not had the flash on you could have seen the fountain but not us. We thought you'd rather see us, sorry if we were wrong. :)
I'm trying to upload some more recent pictures of us and of our new congregation, but it's not the first thing on my list and keeps getting put off. I'll get around to it, I promise. Love you all! Take care.

Zane's Hot
This is in Spokane, we are on a bridge over the Spokane River. Our friend Robyn Rad,who took the engagement pictures, and Emily Dee are making us laugh...I love this picture. Isn't he hot?
Of course that's what I SHOULD think, huh? We just had our four month anniversary of our marriage!
