Earlier this month my sister came to visit us, many of you know. We really had fun, and I dare say she did too. We went directly downtown the next day, which was really a good thing because it started snowing that weekend and hasn't stopped.
Those of you who are familiar with the z and me probably already know that eating Giordano's pizza is almost mandatory when one visits the Windy City. Isliye, it was only natural for Roberta to eat there on her first day in Chicago, and where better than right downtown?

you guys look like you had fun... i wish i could have came.
Well there will be a next time, and you are so invited! Actually, it's mandatory that you be there. We will personally drag you downtown and make you stand under the Bean.
ek problem nahi. lekin, forget the Bean, can you personally drag me to Giordano's?????
Actually I think we all have a Bean-centric magnet in our spinal cord that pulls us in that direction when we're close by. It's a homing device, and I for one opt not to have it removed.
By the way great Hinglish!
I meant a Giordano's magnet. I could care less about the bean! (I mean, when compared with pizza--the Bean is very cool in its own right.)
I totally understand. definitely nothing personal against the Bean... but lets face it... if you have a choice between beans and pizza, who's gonna win : )
What is the Bean?
Human bean, Chicago Bean, Lima Bean, Jim Bean.
It's a cool sculpture in downtown Chicago's Millenium Park that does some crazy stuff like bending and inverting reflections of you while you're underneath. Saje, you should post some pics of it!

This blog needs some action! How about free association....I'll think of a word, and someone type the first word that comes to mind, we'll start a chain (keep it on the up and up please!)
The word I'll start with is:
mutton-chops
chop suey
Thoroughly Modern Millie

Ok so now we keep the chain going, so I'll build on Seconda's word, then the next word will build on mine.
