LaLa Aunty
That's me! Only to Jasmin that is (seen below). Why? Let me tell you.
Her mom is Indian, and in that culture you show respect for your elders by calling them Uncle and Aunty, so Jasmin is being taught to call the brothers and sisters Uncle and Aunty. Since they are regularly out in service with us during the week, I get the chance to be in the same car group as Jasmin almost every week. Those of you who know me well-or even slightly-know I like to sing, and so I'd sing "From house to house" with Jasmin sometimes between calls. Being as she was only 13 or 14 months at the time, she could not say the words, so I just sang, "La-la, la-la" for the entire song. Something about that just stuck with little Jasmin, and pretty soon she'd say, "la-la" whenever she saw me. Her parents caught on and voila! LaLa Aunty came to be.
