Hindi Assembly Slideshow

Here's the slideshow from the Hindi assembly in April.

This Thursday we'll be leaving for Spokane, and we'll be gone for 10 days! We're both super excited and I will be showing you all about it in time.

Vanderbilt Picnic

When in NY for our hindi assembly last weekend, we stayed in Poughkeepsie and had a picnic on saturday, at the Vanderbilt estate. The grounds were beautiful. Here's a slide show.

Running!

I can't believe I just did what I just did! I ran 5 miles! All at once. By myself. In 1 hour and 1 minute. Ok, so speed isn't what I'm going for. FINISHING is what I'm going for.

And finish is what I did. That is to say I finished one week of Chicago Marathon training. The training is 16 weeks, and the marathon is 26.2 miles.

Why am I doing this? Not because I love to run. No way. But I love how I feel after I run. I feel strong, confident, proud, fit, alive. I feel it more the more I run. And the more I feel it the more I want to run again. Crazy? Yes...but so good.

(From left to right: Zane, Sunil, Bebe, John, Tyler [in red], and Alpesh) Enjoying some association at Rick and Shilpa's house with friends from the Detroit Hindi Group led to banghra dancing. Brother Thakkar insisted that all the brothers get out and dance, and then his mother, Bebe, joined in. Priceless. We really enjoyed meeting them and can't wait to see them at the upcoming assembly in New Jersey.
